Horses' Mouths

Never give up
Don’t give up. Those who give their best, don’t be sad, it’s Allah’s decision.
Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, PAS information chief

Protest
I shall address the rakyat for the first time post the general election, on May 8 at 8.30pm. I call upon as many Malaysians to join hands and express our rejection and disgust at the unprecedented electoral frauds committed by (Prime Minister) Najib Abdul Razak and the Election Commission.
Anwar Ibrahim, PKR de facto leader, announcing a rally at the Kelana Jaya stadium on Wednesday

Chinese tsunami?

In many parts of the country, Pakatan won seats in areas that were previously considered as BN strongholds and took down many big BN guns in Malay-majority areas.
Lim Kit Siang, DAP advisor, condemning Najib Razak for describing BN's poor performance as work of a “Chinese tsunami”

Is it not possible that this is not a Chinese tsunami or racial chauvinism but a Malaysian tsunami that is centred on the aspiration and new reality, especially among young voters?
A Kadir Jasin, former New Straits Times editor

Selangor

In terms of popular support, Pakatan Rakyat Selangor enjoyed a 4% increase in popular votes from 55.4% in 2008 to 59.4% in 2013, confirming that we have won over our doubters in 2008 with our policies and administration. This result also cements permanence of Pakatan Rakyat Selangor as a highly credible political coalition, and not a ‘one-hit wonder’.
Tony Pua, Petaling Jaya Utara MP, on the victory of Pakatan Rakyat in Selangor

People’s tribunal
Bersih will take steps to convene a People's Tribunal to consider the evidence that we have and will receive.
Ambiga Sreevenasan, Bersih 2.0 co-chairperson

‘Indelible’ ink
I think they have spent a few million ringgit on it, and it has all gone to waste. But more importantly, it casts doubts about the election among voters, as to whether the election was conducted in a free and fair manner, and whether anyone could have voted two times yesterday.
Anthony Loke, former member of parliamentary select committee (PSC) on electoral reforms, demanding the Election Commission to name supplier of the indelible ink
